Is your child finishing their school math homework in minutes but still feeling unchallenged? Do they have a “curious mind” that asks why math works, rather than just how to do it?

At Mathematics Elevate Academy (MEA), we believe that Grade 5 is the most critical turning point in a child’s mathematical journey. It is the bridge between basic arithmetic and the high-level abstract reasoning required for success in competitive exams like the Olympiads, and eventually, the IITs and ISI.

Today, I am thrilled to announce the release of our latest resource: “Mathematics for Grade 5 | From School Foundation to Olympiad Thinking.”

The Gap in Modern Math Education

Standard school curriculums are designed for the average learner. They focus on fluency—doing the same type of problem 50 times until it becomes a habit.

However, top-tier institutions like the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) and the IITs don’t look for human calculators; they look for problem solvers. They want students who can handle “unseen” problems using logic, parity, and invariance.

I wrote this book to provide the roadmap I wish I had when I was ten years old.

What Makes This Book Different?

This isn’t just another workbook. It is a structured pathway designed by an alumnus of IIT Guwahati and ISI to build “Mathematical Maturity.”

We have organized the learning experience into a unique Three-Tier System:

1. The Foundation Pillars

We ensure the school basics are rock-solid. We cover place value, multi-digit arithmetic, and fractions—but we do it with a focus on conceptual depth.

2. The Olympiad Sprint

Once the foundation is set, we introduce competition-style challenges. These are the frequently occurring problems in AMC 8, Math Kangaroo, and NMTC. Here, students learn “shortcuts” that are actually deep mathematical properties.

3. The ISI/IIT Vault

This is where the magic happens. We introduce 5th graders to “Elite Logic”:

  • Number Theory: Units digit cyclicity and digital roots.
  • Algebra: Functional thinking (f(x)f(x)) and the logic of systems.
  • Geometry: Pick’s Theorem and Euler’s Formula.
  • Combinatorics: The Pigeonhole Principle and Factorials.

A Glimpse Inside: The Master’s Strategy Toolkit

The final chapter of the book introduces students to Game Theory and Invariance. We teach them how to find “winning strategies” in logic games and how to prove something is impossible without even trying it.

Imagine a 10-year-old using the same logic used by data scientists to solve a “Chameleon Parity” puzzle. That is the MEA standard.

More Than a Book: Joining the MEA Ecosystem

Purchasing this book is the first step into the Mathematics Elevate Academy Ecosystem. We aren’t just selling a paperback; we are offering a mentorship pathway:

  • Video Courses: Scan QR codes within the book to watch me whiteboard the most difficult “Vault” problems.
  • The Pathway: This is Volume 1 of a series that will guide your child from Grade 5 through to Grade 12 university entrance prep.
  • Community: Join a group of high achievers and curious minds who are passionate about STEM.

Who is this Book for?

  • The High Achiever: Who finds school math too slow.
  • The Olympiad Aspirant: Who wants a structured way to prepare for international competitions.
  • The Curious Mind: Who loves puzzles, patterns, and logic.
